"White Spray:" A rare, gaff-rigged cutter model in excellent condition with original paint designed after the famous "Solent" racers of the early 1900s and embodying the finest workmanship. The hull is built up from pine planks, which are secured together with copper, resulting in a strong, lightweight hull. It has a large sail area, which would have made it very fast. This yacht was made by Alexander of Preston, who produced pond yachts from just after WWI until about 1960. Alexander sold their models through the shops of the famous exhibition model makers Bassett-Lowke and the London toy store Hamleys. Circa 1935. Length overall: 32 in. Height: 42 in.
